Brighton Beach

By Lynn Lopez

The city of Brighton and Hove has long been a favorite holiday spot even in the 18th century, and it remains a thriving location up to this day. It has even earned the nickname “London-by-the-sea” owing to its diverse population and various establishments. Brighton and Hove is only a short train ride from London, which is why it’s one of the most favored day-trip destinations.

One of the most visited places in the city is Brighton Beach, which is a famous hangout for the locals and definitely something tourists look forward to. The pebble beach is home to a lot of bars and restaurants, guaranteeing that visitors will experience the area’s dynamic nightlife. Apart from that, you can also visit the Palace Pier, also known as the Brighton Pier, which also houses entertainment establishments and restaurants. Another exceptional highlight of Brighton Beach is its nudist area, which is a specially designated spot on the beach.

Brighton Beach is also the first beach in the UK to activate wireless Internet access, launching this service in 2003. The city itself has a lot of new media and communications companies, so it’s no surprise that the idea of being able to surf by the surf came to life here.

Brighton Beach is also home to a lot of great musical events as well as beach volleyball competitions, so there’s no shortage of activities here! If you’re going to the UK on your vacation, a quick trip to Brighton Beach can definitely add some extra color to your itinerary. Just make sure you’re going during the summer months, because
